When I had been diagnosed with cancer, I felt like I was thrown into a tornado of information, chaos, and fear. I slowly found my footing, and I began to face the news that I would need major surgery. I had never been under the knife, and I was terrified. I decided I had to find a way to create a space of calmness for my healing and recovery.
Before the surgery date I asked my surgeon to play specific music for me, and not to talk about cancer during my operation. I visualized how I wanted the surgery to go and what outcome I desired. I meditated on a peaceful and serene scene and sent energy to my brain and body. I relaxed, and then I wrote down everything I envisioned and felt. I wrote down everything as if it had already happened.
Most people think that you have to visualize only in your head. For many people this is difficult, and writing down the visualization, helps to anchor your vision into your body. This is a powerful and effective visualization technique. The Healing Beyond Cancer Program can help you to learn this technique.
I envisioned myself calm and relaxed. I saw my surgeon smile and reassure me that everything would be fine. I saw myself being wheeled into the operating room, talking to my medical team, as they helped me feel more comfortable. I envisioned the operation going smoothly, and the healing music I wanted was playing. I saw that my surgeon was able to cut away all the cancer cells. I saw myself being wheeled up to recovery, knowing that everything was perfect. I felt peaceful.
Hours after the surgery, my surgeon came into my hospital room and told me that everything had gone well. She later told me that she was a bit skeptical about playing the music, but saw that my vital signs and my recovery went very well. She had a better appreciation for how meditation and visualization are important for healing.
Can you see how The Healing Beyond Cancer
Program can help you visualize?
When you take the time to meditate and write down your vision, you are creating an energetic directive. You are creating an intention.
We have the capacity to create an intention that can have a powerful impact on our well being.
The more focused you are on how you want to feel, the more that becomes a reality.
Practice every day, by envisioning what outcome you would like for the day and how you want to feel.
Take time each day to visualize what you want for the day. See it as if the day has already happened. Focus your energy on the feelings you have envisioned.
This is a practice that will take time, but soon you will be able to set your day in motion by using techniques to help you create peace and well being.
